Power Skating Programs

Pre-Power (Ages 5-8 years):
The Pre-Power program is the perfect introduction to power skating for young skaters. Focusing on developing foundational skating skills, children will learn balance, posture, edge work, and basic strides. Fun drills and lessons will help improve their speed and control, building confidence on the ice. The emphasis is on creating a strong base for future power skating while making the experience enjoyable for skaters at this stage of development.


Recreational Power (Ages 8-12 years):
The Recreational Power program is designed for skaters who participate in house leagues or recreational hockey. Skaters will work on improving stride efficiency, agility, and balance while focusing on speed and control. Through a variety of drills and exercises, participants will enhance their ability to skate with power, making them more effective on the ice during game situations. This program helps develop confident, fast skaters who are ready to take their game to the next level while maintaining fun and engagement.


Competitive Power (Ages 8-12 years):
The Competitive Power program targets skaters who are focused on improving their skills for competitive hockey. This program builds on basic skating skills while adding advanced techniques to refine speed, power, and agility. Skaters will work on edge control, quick starts, sharp turns, and explosive acceleration. This program is ideal for athletes who are serious about their development and looking to gain an edge in competitive play, with a focus on fast-paced drills and a more personalized instruction.


Competitive Power (Ages 13-17 years):
The Competitive Power program is geared toward competitive skaters who want to take their skating to the highest level. This program focuses on building explosive power, speed, and agility through advanced skating techniques. Skaters will work on improving their stride mechanics, edge control, and balance while learning how to transition quickly and efficiently on the ice. The program includes high-intensity drills that simulate game situations, providing skaters with the skills they need to perform at a competitive level. This program is ideal for athletes who are preparing for higher-level competition or striving to reach their full potential.


Professional/Elite:
The Professional/Elite program is ONLY offered as a one on one instruction or semi private lesson. Please note these sessions are only offered throughout the day (day ice only). This program is designed for athletes who are aiming for a professional or elite level of play, whether in junior leagues, college hockey, or beyond. This high-performance program focuses on maximizing skating strength, speed, and agility through advanced techniques and targeted drills. Skaters will work on perfecting their stride, edge control, and lateral movements, emphasizing explosive power and acceleration. This program is aimed at helping athletes compete at the highest levels by refining every aspect of their skating.
